Decorating the Skin of Corian is approached here by embedding a 3 dimensional pattern to the Corian material. We created 7 different types of Panels measuring 1m x 1m designed to be connected to each other in a random way. This allows for a variety of decorating possibilities for every interior space. Each panel will use thermoforming technologies to shape them. A CNC milling machine will create a wood or metal mold to be used during the thermoforming process.
It is possible to incorporate an LED System to color the surface, using the translucent qualities of the Corian. The surface can change color in relation to the mood of the user. Decorating is approached here by shaping the Corian and using its inner translucent qualities to meet.
