The Cocoon house offers a variable shelter to be built in symbiosis with nature: use of few recycled and natural materials for a self suffi cient construction. The full process of designing and fabrication is supported by the user through specific software. The overall Cocoon is a rectangular shape that can be extended with the different needs of the user. The interior space can be modulated by stretching the middle partition. The Cocoon House is composed by a series of elements to be assembled and layered simply by one to two persons. The main structure is composed by a series of plywood ribs laser cut by CNC machines. The number of each element is engraved to be easily assembled. Two Layers of protection towards the climate and one to produce energy.
